Best practices with Special Offer
Now that you’ve got twice as many offers to choose from, here are some of our top tips on how to use the Special Offer app and win bookings through trivago.
1. Highlight what makes your property unique
No one knows your property better than you. With Special Offer you have the opportunity to pique the interest of your potential guests on trivago by promoting the small things that make you different from the rest.
2. Test different offers and track performance
Post an offer with a 30 or 60-day expiration period and keep track of your property’s clicks and impressions in the Profile Performance area of your trivago Business Studio.
After 30 or 60 days, post a different special offer on trivago for the same amount of time and track how that one performs on your profile. When it expires, you’ll be able to compare the results to help you decide which one to post next.
3. Keep an eye out for promo codes
Each of the special offer templates has a unique promo code for guests to use during the booking process. That way, you’ll know exactly which offer your guests are expecting to redeem when they arrive at your property.
Guests may use promo codes in the following ways:
- in the comment box in your hotel website’s booking engine
- in a confirmation message with a third-party booking site (e.g. Booking.com)
- in an email
- over the phone
